I was on the dancefloor of a particular Melbourne club, feeling completely insecure, and surrounded by manicured twinks and roided up gym bunnies, when I had the realisation that I can opt out. I can go home right now. However, I still have the right to take up space even if I look different to everyone else here, and so before I left I made sure to be the life of the party, so that they’d miss me when I’m gone. "Disco Shady has a much lighter vibe than ‘The Monster’, I was able to infuse more of my sense of humour into the tracks and create something fun to dance along to when getting ready for a night out or driving along the freeway. With that said there is still some heart to it, particularly on ‘Puddles’ which is a song I wrote about losing somebody too soon, but even in the sadness there’s still a sense of whimsy.” - Possible Prince X
